AR, The Enabling Partner, has won Supply Chain Excellence at the 2023 Construction News Awards.

The prestigious awards, celebrating its 27th year, bring together 1200 of the UK’s leading clients and contractors to recognise outstanding achievements from across the entire construction industry.

AR won in recognition of their delivery of a challenging project demonstrating their diverse skills as a supply chain partner, collaboration capabilities and expertise in innovation.

The judges said “The winning entry is a really proactive example of supply chain excellence. As well as bringing innovative technical solutions to the fore,” they said “this is a company taking the initiative to turnaround projects, delivering positive outcomes in difficult situations. Their leadership in supply chain collaboration and integration is exemplary. Congratulations!”

Mike Henderson, MD at AR, commented “We are very proud to have won such a prestigious accolade amongst the largest names in the industry. This achievement is testament to our team’s expertise and ability in providing enabling services not only in the provision of construction ready projects but throughout the supply chain in close collaboration with our clients.”

AR is a family business built on strong principles, an ambitious business plan with the mantra to work with good people, for good people. The AR team is committed to delivering excellence to their clients and innovating for the benefit of the wider industry.

The AR team were also finalists for Specialist Contractor of the Year which recognises success and development across a number of areas such as commitment to diversity, innovation, sustainability, training and supply chain management.

Colin Marrs, editor of Construction News, commented:

“The story of the past year has been one of continued uncertainty for construction firms, with inflation providing huge challenges to projects, particularly those being undertaken on fixed-price contract. However, the 2023 CN Awards winners prove the ongoing resilience of an industry that gets things done, even on the lowest of margins. The range of innovation and construction excellence on display is truly breathtaking.

“Once again, our judging process was thorough and rigorous, with shortlisted entries asked to present in front of peers from the top of our industry. With a plethora of high-quality entries, credit is due to all those who were shortlisted, not just the winners and shortlisted entrants. The awards prove that construction remains the most exciting and inspiring industry to work in.”
